I usually just turn the bike around while its off since I can't flat foot. Are there any other methods that would be easier for shorter riders ?

hi, thanks for the video training tip the are a big help, Q. ive been riding since a kid (now 50) never seriously just for fun but the last few years have been trying to develop my basics so as to improve control and fun, issue im facing currently is power and keeping attack position. ive been riding POS atomic 250cc 4 strokes untill the start of this year when i was after a real bike (brand name) i stumbled across a 1999 KTM 620 sc 4 stroke for a price i couldnt walk past... you already know where this is going hahaha, im 6'1, 90kg, not the biggest guy out there but no stick figure either & im a stand up rider & really enjoy wringing her neck but mid to full throttle 2nd & third gear the deamon throws me back no matter what . now i find myself developing a really bad habbit os sitting till im in third over 1/3 throttle & hateing myself every time i take the easy way out... im thinking about steg pegs what do you thik, & any tips or advice you can offer other than sell it would be a huge help, cheers, paul H

start with ABS "ON" so you learn how hard you can brake before the ABS engages.

Hi Sedlak and other experience off roaders. Would you recommend something like a 250cc 4 stroke to practice drills in this channel? Or is it still ok to do them on something bigger? My previous riding experiences are only road bikes not dirt bikes.

So far, I've only seen you ride basically straight in your demo of how to position. To me, counter balancing is for when i am turning super tight and super slow where there is no gyroscopic force to keep the bike upright. I've never seen anyone teach to hang way off the side "counterbalancing" at riding speed, usually only at 2-3 mph. Feel free to correct me

First mistake is falling for ADV marketing with these heavy bikes.

Both manufacturers make 230 and 250 I'm not quite sure what the comparison is. He states the obvious the 250 is bigger and faster with better suspension. Apples to apples makes more sense than apples to oranges.

I was just on a steep uphill climb on an FSR, I was in 3rd going about 45-50 kph. I came around a bend where there was a dry sand hill wash out on the road. It was a surprise to start swimming all over the road, but keeping up the speed and staying committed made all the difference. of course it was intimidating when I came back down, but I had no other choice than to commit and maintain. Fear is our own worst enemy.

(Heavily focused on counter steering.) You: Drop right heel to turn right. Not trying to turn it into a side by side advice comparison, but I wonder if you have any comments on the different “styles” or emphasis in initiating turns? Thank you.

For this price point, I think you get more for your money with the Tiger 900. Or you can get the Scrambler 1200 which sounds better, looks cooler, and actually has some character 😅
